Tree Services Ltd can now offer Terravent/
Feeding of the root zone.
TERRAVENT The answer really does lie in the soil!
Do your most Valuable assets suffer from
SOIL COMPACTION OR SATURATION DUE TO FLOODING?
TERRAVENT can provide a unique solution that is
environmentally clean, controllable, easily transportable, and virtually
silent.
Soil Compaction arises from many causes, such as heavy
pedestrian or vehicle access, drought and flooding, which are all too
familiar on golf courses, construction sites, public areas and many
more locations. It is particularly difficult to deal with compaction
in confined areas, on uneven or sloping ground, planted or wooded sites,
or places that are prone to flooding.
Soil Compaction is the largest single killer of Britain's
trees, shrubs and turf. Why?
Soil
Compaction prevents oxygen, moisture and essential nutrients from reaching
the root system of trees, shrubs and turf, which leads inevitably to
the lack of mycorrhizal fungi - essential to the survival and well being
of many plant species. This fungus has been with us since prehistoric
times, but research has only recently shown how it forms a symbiotic
relationship with root systems. This partnership provides the fungi
with carbohydrates, and in return the roots receive vital nutrients
that they cannot process for themselves. There are twelve species of
this essential fungus, available in a range of solutions to tailor the
benefit to your individual needs.
Soil Compaction has long been known to cause serious damage,
but until now the machines available were truly only suitable for large
areas, and in many cases they only deal with the aeration of the soil.
The real answer lies in soil aeration PLUS bio-nutrient
feeding with mycorrhizal fungi, and for maximum benefit, top with
quality mulch.
TERRAVENT
is a hand-operated probe that is powerful enough to decompact and aerate
the toughest areas of compaction. Even hard packed paths or places of
access can be remedied. It is easily transportable to sites of difficult
access, being trailer mounted with a 100 plus multi-feed hose. This
machine definitely reaches the parts others cannot access! !
But that is not all. Whilst the decompaction is being
carried out, the soil can be given a simultaneous liquid injection of
a bio-nutrient feed to boost the dwindling mycorrhizal fungi
or even, in areas of severe damage, a liquid solution of the mycorrhizal
spores.
TERRAVENT
is driven by non-polluting Nitrogen gas and is near silent in
operation. Even areas dedicated to wildlife or leisure activities will
not be disturbed. Sensitive areas such as lawns can now be treated because
of the accuracy of the hand- held interchangeable probes, with multiple
vents along the shaft to provide a unique treatment profile from surface
to more than lm deep, if required.
Terravent does not introduce any impurities into the soil during its
operational process, i.e. gaseous cracked oils produced in the compression
process employed in most compressor systems used by other soil aerators.
But don't just take our word for it - the Royal Botanic
Garden, Kew have had extensive field trails with the system and
have proved its effectiveness over four years in Kew Gardens!
At Eastwood Tree Services Ltd we offer a service
which combines expertise and experience with pro-active leading-edge
technology.
